The Borough of Montoursville is located in Lycoming County and is five miles east of the City of Williamsport . The Borough occupies about 4.2 square miles and has a population of 4,777 (2000 census). The Borough is bound on the north by Interstate I-180, on the west by the Loyalsock Creek, on the south by the Susquehanna River and the east by Fairfield Township . The Borough has twenty-eight (28) miles of paved streets and two-hundred (200) acres of municipal recreation areas. The Borough also owns the Montoursville Borough Water Works, with five wells and an artesian spring. We supply water to an estimated 2,100 residences, plus business and industrial customers.

ORDINANCE NO. 416

EFFECTIVE September 19, 2006

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MONTOURSVILLE, LYCOMING COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING CHAPTER 150, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, ARTICLE III, PARKING REGULATIONS, OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF MONTOURSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA, ADOPTED MARCH 3, 1997, AS ORDINANCE NO. 370 AS AMENDED.

IT IS HEREBY ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Council of the Borough of Montoursville, County of Lycoming and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as Follows:

SECTION I

Chapter 150, Vehicle and Traffic, Article III, Parking Regulations, Section 150-21, Parking prohibited at all times, is hereby amended to add a new subparagraph E:

150-21. Parking prohibited at all times.

E. No person shall park any vehicle on any street facing in a direction opposite the flow of traffic of the lane nearest said vehicle.

This Ordinance shall be effective on September 12, 2006.
